Popcorn occasions


The popcorn category is in significant growth and it is a world in which we have become somewhat expert through our work with brand leader Tyrrells. For many, the category has strong connotations with trips to the cinema and this is still one of the top occasions when the snack is consumed. But interestingly, over 7 in 10 popcorn consumers nibble within the home either snacking on their own or shared with family and friends. Many associate the category with being a healthier snacking alternative compared with more traditional snacks, and this has helped drive the significant category growth in the past few years.
